Last week marked 3 years since AWPC opened its current location just west of 12 Mile & Orchard Lake. We're right on the corner of one of the busiest intersections in Southeast Michigan - more visible and accessible than ever to women in need.
To celebrate this anniversary, we asked AWPC team members who were with us prior to the move what they appreciate most about our 12 Mile location:
Karen Jewell, Executive Director: “I like the general feeling of orderliness, organization, privacy, and good parking! Here we have the capacity to do greater things, programs that the Lord is calling us to do. It’s great having the space!”
Bob Harmer, Board President & Thursday Client Advocate: “All the rooms here were designed and built for the purpose they’re being used for, as opposed to us just using rooms in a house that was already built.”
Debby Joseph, Wednesday Client Advocate: "Our previous location was a quaint little Victorian house that made everyone feel safe and at home, but it certainly had its challenges. This new building was certainly a gift from God - a reward for our faithfulness! What I like about this location is no stairs, plenty of parking, and lots of room."
Our move three years ago couldn't have happened without the generosity of supporters like you. We're seeing more lives saved than ever before. We can't back down now - but without additional funding, cutbacks are coming.
