Another Way Pregnancy Center (AWPC) was incorporated on July 16, 1984 and has the following mission statement: We exist so no woman or couple feels the need for abortion. Programs offered through our center focus on sexual integrity, fetal development, ultrasounds, parenting, adoption resources, material support and opportunities for personal growth and restoration. We have always strived to save the lives of unborn babies at risk of abortion by serving the women and men facing unplanned or difficult pregnancies.

+ STATEMENTS OF FAITH & PRINCIPLE

Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God.
  • We believe that the godhead exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God.
  • We believe that God is the absolute and sole Creator of the universe and that creation was by divine decree.
  • We believe that mankind was created by a direct act of God in His image but that mankind sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is truly God and truly man.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures.
  • We believe that all who repent of their sins and receive, by faith, the Lord Jesus Christ, are born again as God’s children and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into Heaven, and in His present life there at the right hand of God the Father.
  • We believe in the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in glory.

Statement of Principle

  • AWPC supports the right of every woman to give birth and the right of every child to be born. Human life is an inalienable right, endowed by The Creator Who made each individual human life unique from the moment of conception, and immensely valuable as made in the image of God.
  • AWPC is committed to providing its clients with accurate and complete information about both prenatal development and abortion.
  • AWPC shall not deny services to any client based on race, creed, color, gender, national origin, age, marital status, income, or handicapping conditions.
  • AWPC shall provide services, which are personal, confidential and free of charge at all times.
  • AWPC shall not advise, provide, or refer for abortion or abortifacients.
  • AWPC does not engage in contraceptive counseling or in referring for contraceptives or contraceptive services.
  • AWPC is committed to creating within the local community an awareness of the needs of pregnant women and of the fact that abortion compounds human suffering rather than resolving it.
  • AWPC is committed to assisting women and men who suffer from the aftermath of abortion, offering compassionate, non-judgmental care and referrals to programs that assist with healing and forgiveness.
  • AWPC recognizes the validity of adoption as one alternative to abortion but is not biased toward adoption when compared to other lifesaving alternatives. AWPC is independent of adoption agencies, relating to them in the same manner as to other helpful sources.
  • AWPC employees and all volunteers are required to agree to our policies and scriptural qualifications, and to renew their commitment by reviewing and signing AWPC Statements and Policies on an annual basis, due in February of each year.
